Exporting Revit ot ADT in 3d view wil give me a model in ADT, however is the model converted to ADT elements (i.e. Revit door to ADT door) or are they just 3d block, meshes, etc.
We work in Revit and Engineer words in ADT 2007 (or whatever its called).
Would like to be able to work in Revit and give to Engr.

Sadly the conversion isn't that simple. The best way to do this is to use an IFC export/import. The good news is that elements will know what they are... the bad news is that EVERY element might not know what they are supposed to be or make a perfect data exchange. You should download a trial version of Revit and test it to see if it works good enough for your standards.

I,ve been using Revit from 4. Never thought I would need to play nice with others.

...ahhh, then I should have said try downloading the demo of AutoCAD Architecture. ;)

 In the end this won't work quite the way you want (aka: perfect translation) but under certain situations it works well enough. Now it's just a matter of determining the best process to exchange data / develop a working relationship.

I converted from using ADT3.3 to Revit and don't miss ADT. I keep my subscription however but have not used it (that's a big duh $$$). Unfortunately I must be able to swap drawings with the consultant who is using ADT08. From what I've read about IFC it appears that I must go back to ADT for this one.
