How to assign a keynote in Revit. Is there any shortcuts to assign in Revit?

I am interested in doing this too, I had a quick look in between projects and I found something about keynotes in the revit sdk samples called 'Materials1'

MaterialParameters.cs tells talks about built in paramaters, have a look at that one, though someone else might be able to shed some more specific light

I take it you want to change the keynote number via the API. In which case you can just need to get the BuiltInParameter.KEYNOTE_PARAM for the elements type in question.
