We are trying to find some good "training" books on Revit, and we are curious about what textbooks are being used in the classroom.

Thanks in advance for any information provided.

The Mastering Revit Architecture 2008 by Dzambazova, Demchak & Krygiel had some very good stuff and I would recommend looking at that book.

Paul Aubin's books are always good, but I think his next book isn't due to be released until late spring or early summer of this year. So Paul's most recent Revit book is a few Revit releases old but still worth looking into....

Fox & Balding's book "Intro & Implementing Revit building" was also very useful but once again this book is a few releases old and the next one I don't believe has been released yet.

All these books I have read and feel are worth reading, I would also recommend looking into the Cadclips website they are full of video tutorials that have a lot of educational value.

Hope this helps...

While I do believe in the books being mentioned and they are great long-term resources and for learning the program by yourself they can be good, but sometimes they are not the best books for a "quick" (full 3-day) training of employees. Autodesk has books that are pretty good that are suited for "training classes" here:

http://store.autodesk.com/DRHM/servlet/ControllerServlet?Action=DisplayProductByTypePage&SiteID=adsk&Locale=en_US&ThemeID=516200&Env=BASE&parentCategoryID=&categoryID=10394900

Ascent also has some books ( http://ascented.com/ ) that could work for you. Personally I train from the Autodesk material and then use the other books mentioned in this thread as recommended reference material. So it depends on your needs and goals as to the best solution for you and what you are trying to accomplish.
