Exporting Revit Floor Plans to ADT

I work for an Architecural/Engineering firm, so everything is done in house. I personally work for the Engineering department. The Archietctural department has recently changed software to Revit Architecture 2008, while the engineers are still using ADT. The archiects have set up a seperate view specially for exporting the floor plan for us. It has been working well except working in the ADT file is VERY VERY slow. It is not just this way on my machine but even outside consultants who are begining to complain. Has anyone had this problem and now some tips to fix this issue?

Try an audit on the file, a purge all, and maybe even a wblock to a new drawing. Or send to support and see if they can find out what elements are causing problems.
