Here is a link to a bat file which will automatically purge all the journal files when placed in the " Journal" subdirectory.

This is from the Revit FAQ site mentioned in another thread.

I find its useful. I like a tidy computer.

Version 6.0 has functionality to control journal file proliferation.
Under Settings | Options | General there is a Journal File cleanup Group.

The two spin boxes function in an AND relationship.

Beegee,

They're all documented. Please take a look at the Release Notes available from the download page http://revit.autodesk.com/download.asp or at this link directly http://revit.autodesk.com/EN/6_0/documents/Release_notes.htm

Journal File Cleanup
Users can control how many journal files are saved and automatically remove unneeded ones.

All the new features are documented in the Help and Tutorials included in 6.0 as well.

Are you seriously suggesting I RTFM ?

I am an architect after all.
