Hello All,

Is there a way to cross reference two key schedules? Here's what we are trying to do:

The first key schedule is easy enough. It is a Finish Schedule that would show the following information.

Finish Key: C-1
Description: Carpet
Manufacturer:
Style:
Color:
etc...

This much is easy. I know how to do this.

The second key schedule is a Finish Group Key Schedule.

Finish Group 1 contains C-1 carpet, P-1 P-2 and P-9 paints, ACT-1 and ACT-2 ceilings.
Finish Group 2 contains C-2, P-9 paints, ACT-2

Here's the catch... I would like the C-1 Finish Key and Description, to cross reference from the original Finish Key Schedule. As you can see, Finish Group 1, has a different quantity of finishes, than Finish Group 2. This is why we can not use the Out of the Box Room Finish Parameters.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

You can assign more than one schedule key as long as the fields from one key are not contained in the other schedule.
So... in Key 1 you would have parameter 1,2,3,4,5
and in Key 2 you would have parameter A,B,C, D
When you create the second key you'll notice that only fields not contained in Key 1 are available for inclusion in Key 2.
(That sounded a lot clearer in my head )

Hi Dimitri,

Thanks for the response... But I'm not 100% sure I understand.

So... in Key 1 you would have parameter 1,2,3,4,5
and in Key 2 you would have parameter A,B,C, D

So I would like Key 1 to be "Finish Schedules"
Parameter 1 = Finish Mark ( "C-1" for example )
Parameter 2 = Description ( "Carpet" for example )
Let's ignore Parameter 3,4,5...

The Second Key Schedule would be Finish Groups.
Finish Group 1 might be "Perimeter Offices."

Within this Perimeter office group, there may be a littany of applied finishes. Multiple carpets, multiple paints...

So for Parameter A, I would like to be able to select "C-1" from a pull down menu. This value was determined in the first Key schedule.

Parameter B, I would like to auto complete will "Carpet," who's value was also determined by the first key schedule.

You can assign more than one schedule key as long as the fields from one key are not contained in the other schedule.

If this is the case... how do I tell revit that Parameter A equals Parameter 1?

Thank you, in advance for all of your help.
