Fill region question

I am trying to detail a wall section and when I loaded the plywood detail component, Horizontally looks good, bur when I draw a plywood vertically, the fill pattern does not rotate with the element, that is to say the fill pattern is the same horizontally and vertically. I tried to edit the family, and play with "Orient to view", "keep readible" and "align with element" but did not work. Am I doing something wrong?

Those options don't work for detail components loaded into a model. I think they only work for the cut material of model objects, like walls.

For this reason we don't use the OOTB plywood detail component. We have our own line-based detail component made of 3 filled region areas. Each one is slanting lines at 45 degrees going in alternating directions. It looks great in both vertical and horizontal, fairly well at other angles, and really only looks weird when you get close to a 45 degree orientation.
