how do i treat the openings and places where wall terminates?
i can use a sweep for the stone and finish off my end (yes/no?)
anything to do with my brick at the end?....it only matters with a few sections and i can "work around" with a filled region of brick i guess

I would use a "one-sided" walltype and make loops of it for your piers.
PS: What is CutePDF 'evaluation version' ? CutePDF is free!

If it's one wall type with the brick and base on both sides, you *should* be able to select the wall in 3D and change the return angle for the sweep where an insert cuts it. Then you could drag the stone base into the opening. Then you would have to paint the ends (or change the wall wrapping setting) to get the brick in there. It could get pretty tedious if you have lots of these. Making a thinner wall type and running it around for each side and at the ends of the openings might be easier.

Are you using a stacked wall for the brick and stone? What happens if you edit the two wall types individually and set their type properties for the wrapping at inserts and ends to Exterior/Both?

one wall type stone sweep in walltype (profile added to bottom of wall)
