Rotation Point Gone

When I try to rotate any object in a file of mine it does not show the center of rotation icon so I can not reposition the rotation point. It is only this one file and just started today. The rotation ray apears and I can rotate from the default point but that does not always do what I need. Attached is screen shot.

Have you tried zooming out to the extents of the selected element?

I've had this happen before and in my case it was due to the active workset being off in the view. Check the Visibility/Graphics (VV) and see if it is turned OFF. If so, turn it ON.

Making the workset active brought the icon back. Wierd!!
