When I add a Runner Channel to a wall section it is completely hidden by the heavier outline of the Basic Wall: Exterior - Brick on Mtl Stud. I tried to edit the Runner Channel family, but that family only has Hidden Lines. Light lines, Invisible lines and Detail Items. How can I make the Runner Channels show up in my sections??

Thanks, Tim

PS. I have already made the wall transparent.

We didn't like the way the Runner Channels look either. Yes they are dimensionally accurate, but we have always exaggerated and offset these using a heavier line type so you can see them, and found this to be necessary while using Revit too.

We made a “Stud Channel” family that has reference planes for easily aligning to studs and bearing surfaces, or drawing line work for studs, with heavy enough lines for the channels that they appear clearly when printed. There’s a 4” stud type and a 6” stud type in the family already, but you can easily add any other sizes you need, or change the visual spacing if you don’t like what I chose. Hope you find it useful.
