View Full Version : Key schedules and columns

We have a room finish schedule that identifies all materials and their finishes as well as ceiling heights and millwork. We're thinking about adding another column for fire ratiing and occupant load, but that is another question.

We've created a key schedule for our different room types that exactly matches the columns in our room finish schedule. Four of those columns can have differing information (ceiling height and finish, millwork and finish) so I am thinking it better to delete these columns in the key schedule rather than leave them blank and then call the room style up on the room finish schedule.

Does Revit allow you to manually fill in cell information on any room line that has a room style assigned to it or does it still hold it as a place holder? If that does not make sense, here is another way to ask it - can we purposely miss some columns in the key schedule so that we can fill them in later on the finish schedule, or is access to that particular column cell not allowed if you have used a key schedule to fill in that room line.

thanks - haven't done a schedule for a while!
