Unhosted door family?

I need to make a set of hangar doors that I can place in my model that does not occur in a wall....BUT I still need to be able to use a door tag on it and get it scheduled. How do I do this?

Load up the generic model family template. Settings > Family Category and Parameters > Family Categoy > Doors
