Dear all,

I am working on a project and now stuck in the middle as the duct fittings or transitions look weird. They fittings and transitions look good in other projects on which I am working on but I am not able to figure why they look so bad on the current project. May be the family got changed or corrupted, Is there a way to unload the family and reload another family within the project. I am attaching a copy of the project file in this post, please have a look at it. I will appriciate your answres and suggestions.

Thanks

There is no project file loaded. Chances are that it exceed the size limit which is 2 or 5 megs I believe. Our template file wouldn't even load at that size.

You can drag and drop multiple families from a windows explorer window into a project and they will all update that way. If you still have problems you can try selecting all instances, change to another family of a similar type with a unique name (2x2 Ceiling - 2x4 ceiling 001), delete the old family (via the project browser), reload the desired family, select all instances of the unique family and switch back.

I have done this for a few items in the past. Mostly as I was learning families and ended up deleting parameters that were used to create geometry in the old versions. Its a pain, purges out your overrides, and generally should be avoided. Chances are there is something else wrong with your project or just a simple family update should work. I owuld only go down the above mentioned road if all else fails.
