Floor modifying tools

Does anybody know why I don't get floor modifying tools when I trace the floor over Cad file and I do get it if I don't trace? Thanks

If by floor modifying tools you mean modify the floor sub-elements tool, it will shows only if your floor has no arcs on its sketch. Maybe the DWG you are using to trace has arcs...

Revit 2009 will be able to do it even with arcs.

By the way, while we wait for Revit 2009 to do it, a workaround is sketch your floor, replacing the arcs by straight lines and then modify its sub-elements the way you want. When it is done, you can use Modelling / Opening / Opening by face and then draw the arcs you want to "cut" the portions of the floor to make these straight lines as arcs. Got it?
