Sloped Railing

when i insert additional railing onto stairs that i have already created, the railing does not slope/angle with that of the stairs. how do i make the railing parallel with the stairs?

for instance, i am adding railing (with the railing tool) in the middle of a 20'-0" stair entrance into a building

Edit the railing and select host > Stair

Hi! You need to select the railing and choose edit from the options bar. When you are in the railing sketch editor, you will see an option to "Set Host". Select the stair and the railing should then run parallel to it.

You may have to nudge the railing left or right if it sits right on the edge of the stair first.
