How to create a Thatch roof texture

Hi everyone, is there anyone who knows how to create a thatch roof? I made a mass sweep of what I beleive a thatch roof should look like (a lot of round edges) but, unfortunately I cannot get the texture even if I put a model hatch. Any ideas?
I attached a JPG to show what I try to achieve.
