Section Underlay

Hello,
Is there a way to underlay (or something similar) a section into another section within the same project? Thanks for your help...

Welcome to the forums Mitchell.
Only plan views can be used as underlays within other plan views. You can 'stack' views when you place them on sheets to get the same effect. If the sections are at the same scale then they will automatically snap into alignment. You can then set the view you want to see as an underlay by changing the view settings so it appears as a 50% grey.

Thank you...that is what I was looking for.

You could also export out the section you want to use as an underlay to Autocad dwg and link it into the view then you have more control over the overrides.

I am unable to get this work-around to work because the underlay section draws on top of the original section. Possibly if I created the underlay before the final section, I could get them to stack right, but it seems ad hoc.

The stacking is based on the order they are place on the sheet.
