After our first CMC I Started looking into these new standards.
I am still confused by the system.
Layer naming makes sense, it follows more or less the previous conventions.
But can someone give me an example of how you would name a GA plan?
We are an architecture firm so naturally our GA plans will show walls (external and internal), doors, windows (with numbers for both) and structure on the same drawing. This means its not only a walls drawing (G25). So I Assume it falls under G2.
This is how I thought it might look like according to the standard:
00000-XXX-B-01-DR-A-G2-0001-C1
(Project number-Originator-Block-Level-Type-Role-Classification-Number-Revision)
From this I still don’t know if it is a plan, section, elevation or detail I am looking at.
Am I missing something?
Does the order of these attributes make sense to anyone?
Thanks,
Hendrik
