I went to plot some sheets this morning and when I did all the print range options were grayed out except "Selected views/sheets". The last time I printed anything from this project was a week ago and they were single sheets. Has anyone encoutered this before and if so, how did you get the other options to activate?

Which view are you, when trying to print? Aren't you on a schedule view? Aren't you creating an In place family? Views like that will make the print options grayed out...
If yes, just leave the view and to go to any other, like a floor plan, for instance.

You may also want to check the focus of your window before you print.

If the last place you clicked was in the project browser, revit places its "focus" on the project bowser and not the open view. When you go to print, revit pays attention to where this focus is. It assumes that because you had last clicked in the project browser before you went to print, you could want to print any number of drawings. To get the options back, just make sure you click somewhere in the view you want to print, bringing the "focus" back to that specific view. Now when you print, you should see all the options available.

Yep, that "focus" thing has snagged me several times.

When you typically work with maximized view windows as I do, it's sometimes difficult to tell when the focus is NOT on your current view window. To be sure, make sure you can see the family type drop-down box at the upper left, the "Press+Drag" check box, and the Filter button. If the focus is on the project browser, you will only see the family drop-down box with nothing else beside it.

It was the "focus". Thanks for the replies. This is not the first time this has happened to me, but at least now I know what causes it.

I think autodesk needs to start publishing some of this stuff in thier literature or FAQs. All the years of using Revit and its these little things that seem to escape me and are the hardest to remember.
