I have a particular Wall style that refuses to host a wall hosted lav, toilet, etc. In addition, when you try to place the wall hosted item, iRevit seems to want to bury it in the wall. In the example file I am attaching, the wall type that works was created by Duplicating the 'bad' one and removing some layers, but not the actual finish layers.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Gordon,

I created a generic model family and drew the lavatory. Set it as plumbing fixture and nested / shared into into a new generic model wall based family. Set this family too as plumbing fixture. Then loaded into your file with your wall and it worked on both.

You can compare both families.
