unconnecting from central file

I want to secede!!!

Simple question - I must be overlooking the obvious. How do I save a copy of a project, so that I can tear it apart for other projects, without it still referencing the original central file?

Saveas > Click the OPTIONS button > check "Make this the Central location after save" Specify how many backups and save the file with a new name.
