What software, what version, what file format?
Modelspace, paperspace?
In an appropriate forum will help too because it will be read by more people with appropriate interests and experience.

I've had this happen before, my solution was to run the purge command from the command line and purge regapps.
Also, as Jaber said, more information would be helpful. Make sure it isn't on a locked layer. Is it selecting it but not pasting it, or not selecting it at all?

I asked because it could be the "opened in A2007, saved as A2004, needs hotfix" syndrome.

Yep, forgot about that.
~shrug~ guess we'll have to wait for the OP to post back..

I'm having a very similar problem.... As this is my first post I hope I've asked the question in the right place....
I am running AutoCAD2008 with the StrucPLUS add-on. The PC's are quick enough for AutoCAD etc, but when I Ctrl+C and the Ctrl+V into another drawing it takes an eternity. To the point where I can have a snack and come back to it and it's just finishing up.
Now nothing is on a locked layer or anything like that. One thing I have noticed is that it has become most noticable since StrucPLUS has been added.
Any Ideas?!?!
