angular dimension includes hyphen

When I have my Angular Units set to degrees minutes seconds and perform an angular dimension on a 90 degree angle, the dimension text displays as 90d0'-0" (where "d" is the degree symbol). How do I get rid of the hyphen between the minutes and seconds? It looks like 90 degrees 0 feet 0 inches! See attached image (dms.jpg).

I also see something similar when I have my Angular Units set to Surveyor's Units (to get bearing), and add text. See attached image (dms2.jpg).

Is your dimension style set to architectural units instead of decimal units?

Type UNITS. There you can set how your degree units appear. as to the hyphen, i can't see where you picked that up. there aren't any settings that i can see where that's an option.

I assume you mean the dimension style of "Linear Dimensions", since you can't set the value of "Angular Dimensions" to Architectural. The choices of Angular Dimensions are:
Decimal Degrees
Degrees Minutes Seconds
Gradians
Radians

I've selected "Degrees Minutes Seconds" and selected a precision of 0d00'00".

My Drawing Units Angle setting is "Deg/Min/Sec" with a precision of 0d00'00".

Changing either the Linear Dimension value in DIMSTYLE or the Length value of UNITS to "Architectural" had no affect on the display of the Angular Dimension.

This only happens when the minutes and seconds are both zero!!

OK, this is weird now.

I start a new AutoCAD session and my angular dimension includes a hyphen between minutes and seconds, making it look like feet and inches.

I open Help and immediately close it.

I draw a new angular dimension from the same source entities, and it displays correctly!
