I'm an architectural lighting designer with a small plotting problem. I've added all of my lights and effects to the architect's drawing. When I go to print it out, though, all of the things that I added get blown up like the lines are suddenly super thick. They're normal in the drawing modes, it just screws up on the print. The Architect's illustrations came out normal, though. Any ideas?

What do you use for plot styles CTB or STB files? If it's CTB's then check that the colour the objects are on is set to a suitable line weight in the CTB file. If you use STB's then check in the drawing what line weight the layer is set to (or if there are any object overrides).

A quick check is to hit the LWT toggle at the bottom where the snap, grid, etc toggles are. If it's a lineweight thing, the lines will get real thick on your screen.
If so, and if you're using .ctb files as Steve said, then open the plot dialogue and edit the .ctb file. Pick the color and adjust the lineweight.
If it's .stb, then I think you do it in the layer properteis box as Steve said.
Oh yeah, welcome to AUGI and congrats on your first post.

Got it. Thank you, both. All of my problems were solved under "Plot Options". I had to turn off "Plot with Plot Styles" and then turn off the "Plot object Lineweights" option.
Thanks again,
Adam
