Image degradation

I´m trying to plot a drawing which has a 250mb tiff image as background.
The tiff file is a sattelite image whose spatial resolotion is 30m/pixel.
However, when I send it to the printers (tried out with 3 already) the image loses its resolution. Does anyone knows why this happens?
Does any variables affect that?

In OPTIONS>Plotting tab what do you have set for
OLE plot quality?
Also have you tried using the toggle to use OLE application
when plotting OLE objects?

Further in your Plot Device PROPERTIES tab, in plot or page
set-up mode, what seting do you have for the device graphis options?
