Null Structures

I am utilizing Civil 3d 2008, station has 4 Gigs of ram, duel core processors @ 3.1 GHz, and updated video driver, (as of 2 wks ago).

I see in the Standard part catalog that sometimes there is a null structure, and at other times it is not available. I have not been able to import that null structure into our standard part catalog. Does anyone know how to get a null structure into the part catalog?

I have the same question. I have seen it talked about here, but I can't remember where.

I've been having the same problem. I have developed a custom parts list and in my parts list there is a part family I've added, plus a null structure. It seems everytime I save the drawing the null structure disappears. This is usually resolved if I restart the program, but this can't be a solution.

I got back in from the weekend, now the null structure doesn't even show up anymore.(!!!!)

If anybody finds a solution to this please advise.

You are better off now using the null structure. However, whenever you need it just start creating a network without using s tructure. Make sure you are set to draw pipes only. by the time you start your third pipe you should see a null structure appear in the part catalog. The null structure only activates when you start a network without a structure.
