Scale for 3D Views?

A co-worker just pointed out to me that when you place a 3d view on a sheet, it will not display any type of scale in the title block itself. I tried to figure this out but was unsuccessful. Has anyone else noticed this before?

Is there any where to display the scale for a 3d view as you have the option to hange the scale within the view?

You're not alone :) Unfortunately the answer is no...you cannot display a scale. In a related Support Request I filed a while ago, this was described to work as designed. Not sure why it's designed that way since we can set the scale parameter. I came across this when using 3D views oriented to an orthographic view, placed them on a sheet and the scale would not report on the title block.
