View range - staircase

i mean plan region!

im trying to show the top of a staircase, but when i use the plan region it shows the whole staircase (even if out of the view range box) is this correct?

i only wanna show the last few steps

Unfortunately this is how stairs work. You can get an 'upper' break line at the cut plane of the view, but any Stair objects with geometry in view will show all the way to the bottom of that geometry.
