View Full Version : adding block auto-rotates dwg, but not UCS

Running Autocad '08. I insert a block with attributes. Click the insertion point, add one or two attributes, then - lets say - I made an error and have to escape. I escape out of the insert.

Upon inserting it again, the block does not visually show up. If I click and add attributes, and "complete" adding the block, the drawing goes "black". If I zoom extents or regenall, the drawing is now rotated along the rotation of the added block, but the ucs remains the same.

If I save, close, reopen, it's restored... But there's no way to restore the dwg without closing. Audits, purges, regenalls, zoom extents, etc. The block is fine, and the file is fine. Tested this with multiple blocks, and several drawings (even new dwgs) over several computers.

Any ideas?
