I have a base file with several polyline representing different alignments. I have it as an xref in a dwg with four layout tabs. In each layout, I am changing certain linetype to hidden for half of the lines. The linetype generation is not working. Any ideas on how to make this display properly? Thanks.

I would assume that the linetype generation must be preset in the base drawing. In other words, if the linetype is continuous in the base, and linetype generation is off, in the xref drawing, you can change the linetype to hidden, but the linetype generation will still be off. There is a system variable to turn on linetype generation for all polylines, but I dont know if it will work through an xref. I think the variable is PLINEGEN.

Try Ltscale=1, Psltscale=1

Try Ltscale=1, Psltscale=1
And Msltscale should be 1 also, just for the record.
