View Full Version : Shortcut Key For View Range Dialogue Box

The ability to create shortcut keys for second level dialogue boxes would be great.

For example, when you want to modify the ''Vew Range' settings you have the short key 'VP' for view properties but then you have to scroll down to the bottom of that dialogue box to get into the 'View Range'.
This might be a small thing but after a few times it can get a bit anoying. If there were a shortcut key...say 'VR' that took you directly to 'View Range', that would be excellent!

Anyway, just a thought...

Creating shortcuts to commands that aren't on the menu structure itself is not possible at this moment...

It has been on the wishlist for a while, though...

Is this possible with the new scripting tools available in the 2009 releases?

Here's something I threw together really quick, just run the exe and when you're in Revit hit F2
I can change the shortcut to any key or any combination of keys
This only works in 08 for now but I can easily make one for 09 (they moved the position of the view range button)

Here's one for 2009, I'm working on making it better and adding shortcuts for other items but for now this will work for ya...
