I am trying to compile my construction drawings. I drag the floor plan on to a sheet. How do I get rid of the North, south, etc arrows?

Max,

Activate the view on the Sheet, or go to the original view, then go to View Properties>Visibility>Annotation Categories and toggle off the Elevations.

or another way is to select the "offending arrow" in the original view, right click & select "Hide Annotation In View" option.

And another way is to activate the view, or go to that view. Type V V to activate view properties Visibility (or just click properties, then Visibility), click on Annotationations and uncheck "elevations". That way, if you ever want to bring them back on your sheet, you can just re-check the box rather than hunting around the screen waiting for the symbol to show up after you hid it so that you can click "show annotation in view".
