AutoCAD 2008 3D

In AutoCAD 2006 when I was having some problems with my 3D objects, I discovered that the solution was to install the Heidi driver, disable it, and my 3D objects will not be tiled anymore and the objects will keep smooth.

Now I am having the same problem in AutoCAD 2008. Someone told me if I defrag my hard drive, the issue will be solved. That to me is technically "wrong". I am sure it is a driver issue.

Just curious. I was trying to convince a colleague that there is no relationship between not defragging my hard drive and the tiling/chekered/non-smooth problems I am having with my 3D objects on the screen.

Asking you 3D gurus, do you believe defragging my drive will solve my problems?

Thanks

No. Never. Not at all. Not for one moment.
