Maybe someone here can help me with a problem I am having.

I want autocad to use the cell formatting from excel so that everytime a schedule is inserted, I don't have to make modifications. I have attatched an example of an excel file that has some cells with borders and some without. When I bring it into autocad, all of the cells show up and print. Am I missing something here cause xell 2 cad makes this VERY simple and I was hoping that autodesk had replaced my need for xell 2 cad.

Hi. Search these forums for "excel table formatting".
There is a lot of information there including a link to an ATP course.

That's why I posted and gave an example. None of the info from the forums have solved my problem. If you download the file I posted and try to link it into acad, you will see all of the cells even though in excell they are not displayed. Now this is not the only format of a schedule, I have diffuser schedules, boiler schedules, Ac schedules that are all differant formats. And I should not have to create a table style for each individual table. I think that Autodesk has once again delivered a half-baked product.

TO be more specific, I have a schedule with cells that have borders displayed and some cells have the borders turned off. When I data link, all of the borders get turned on.

If this has not been answered already. Create a simple table with the borders for Title, Header and Data turned off. Data Link your excel file to that table. The drawing looks like there are borders but they don't print.
