ACA2008 strangeness

Odd problem.

On various standalone installs, on a network domain, some users suddenly say "hey i can't save my file" (they get the 'writing/closing file' error). I then try to access the network drives, and they don't work. I try to run applications (like hijackthis etc etc) and nothing works. I try ipconfig, nothing works.

so then i close down that instance of autocad, and viola, everything responds again! i get my IP back, and i can access all of the network drives.

has anyone else has this same issue? thanks!

Do you have SP1 installed?

I'm getting it here, and I don't have it installed as I am currently running unregistered temporarily till my computer gets fixed later today (I hope)

We were having this same issue and it was related to DFS junction points. We moved everything to the same server and stopped using DFS for AutoCAD files and we haven't had the problem since. This was in version 2006. We are on 08 now, but I'm too terrified to see if they have fixed the problem. Anyone using DFS with AutoCAD 07 or 08? Or is this still the answer:
