Is ther anyway to make a custom elevation tag for interiors?

The OTB version is great except for adding the "a, b, c & d."

I tried to get rid of them and Revit gives me an error saying field is blank.

I just want the view number to show up. For example: 20 instead of 20 - a.

The 20 - a comes from the View name of the interior elevation view. Can't you just rename the view to be 20 in the Project Browser? ...or do you just want to show the Sheet Number only? In that case, go to Settings > View Tags > Elevation Tags. Set the Type to 1/2" Circle, and then turn OFF the Show View Name option.
