As my title stated, is there an FBX editor that allows you to add Material images to the Mental Ray Renderer?

When you look at where Revit is pointing to find it's render material, it's pointing to your program files folder ( C:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2009\Data\Rendering ) and looking at a file called " assetlibrary_base.fbx " When you try to open this file with notepad, it's all over the place and hard to decipher.

So once again, is there an FBX editor that can look at this file and allow you to add additional materials to the Mental Ray Renderer??

Thanks

Just another thought... I still have not received our Revit 2009 disks with our serial numbers, so I'm running the 30 day trial version of Revit 2009 until we get our info...

Does this make a difference? Does the Trial version limit you to what can be done with the Mental Ray Renderer?

I noticed that some of the features in the Rendering dialog box have drop down menu's which do not drop down or are locked..

Take for instance I can only render with the draft option selected and don't have the ability to select any other option...

How do you add additional material images to the Rendering Engine????

Thanks for the link... That explained a lot.... I hope autodesk provides a patch or update that addresses these issues before the next release next year. Otherwise they are going to have a lot of user's talking about Revit 2010 sooner then later... But maybe that's the point.....
