Hey everyone...

Interesting reading all the feedback on RA2009...can't wait to get it and play around with it...we're still waiting for our upgrades to come through...

My question relates to (in RA2008) being able to hide sections in plan views. Specifically hiding sections that aren't put on sheets. We're busy preparing base drawings for costing purposes and i need to show section lines on plans...but need to show ONLY the ones that we're showing on the sheets...and somehow hide the "design" sections...

Hope the question makes sense...

and thanks for any feedback in advance....

In order to do what you are asking, you have to be able to create a filter that applies to views, and this is still not available. The only "annotations" that you can filer for are Grids and levels in 2009.

You can work around by assigning sections to a different discipline, like MEP or structural. Then they won't show up on architectural sheets.

No need for complex filters!
In your print setup there is a box to tick called "Hide unreferenced view tags"
Your un-sheeted section lines will show up on screen, but will not print.
