AutoCAD 2006

A CAD person at my future employer's office changed the default keyboard shortcuts. Is there a way to globally restore the defaults?

overwrite the acad.pgp file with a OOTB default acad.pgp file. I dont have 06, so I cant help you, I dont know if you can post something like that anyway.

You can post it as a text file, then copy and paste it into an existing PGP file to overwrite it. I highly suggest renaming the original PGP file first. I always name mine ACAD1.pgp before messing with it. That way, I have the OOTB one to go back to if I mess up something.

Actually, I'd check the computer to make sure they didn't just rename the original so it's still there. You can just delete the new one and rename the old one to make it work. It's worth looking into.

Also, depending on whether or not your "cad manager" or office sets these up inside the ACADDOC.LSP file like we do here, you might want to set up your own ACAD.LSP file with all of your shortcut keys and stuff you like in it and then set it to load on every OPEN from your Options dialog. I like doing it this way because the ACAD.LSP is my file that I can do with what I like and I'd like to say it loads last (or close to it) so any shortcut keys set up by any other format (ACADDOC.LSP, ...PGP, etc.) will be overwritten by what I set up in the ACAD.LSP.
