Okay here's an odd one...

One of my users had AutoCAD MEP 2008. (no that's not the odd part)

Once a week or so when he starts the program his Templates don't show up in the Start-up Window and his Tool Pallets are empty. BUT! the correct paths are listed in Tools/Options.

Then if he closes the program and re-opens they are there.

Now if when they are missing I go to his machine and open the Options window, hit apply, and close the window, everything goes back to normal. I hit File New and the Templates are there. I close the Tool Pallet and re-open and they are correct. (now that's the odd one).

Anyone have the same probs? Any ideas?

In what regard?

Is it pulling up a certain profile?

Is it pulling up a certain profile?

Ah. Yes it is. Our "standard" company profile, which can then be customized by the operator to their liking.

I reloaded the standard profile and had the same problem but it is VERY sporadic. And only affects this one user.

I'm thinking he's getting a "Network Hiccup" when he opens the program. If he loses the network for a second or two while opening he then loses his Tools and Templates which are on the Network.

just trying to narrow it down before I get IT involved.

I have the same issue. I set all of our companies customized pallets and can use them all day. The next day when I come in and start AutoCAD MEP up they are gone. I am getting REALLY frustrated with this issue and I have not found a fix either.
