View Full Version : How do I reference a look up table?

I'm working through the metric Family Tutorials. I'm creating a pipe fitting elbow and I've reached the point where I have to link it to a csv file.

The tutorial says, after clicking Family Types: "In the Family Types dialog, in the Value column, for Lookup Table name, enter M_Threaded Generic Elbow.csv".

That doesn't sound too difficult except that there IS no Lookup Table Name in the Value column!

Anyone tried working their way through the tutorials and maybe has an answer?

You are correct, there is not a look up table named: M_Threaded Generic Elbow.csv.

Seems there are a lot of tutorials which are leftover from "Revit Systems 1" and "2", which haven't been modified for the lastest versions of the programs.

I'd say just select any other table if you need to continue with the tutorial (but I'm not sure if this method would work or not).
