Lumber Weight

How can I calculate the Lumber weight? I would like to find a formula that will give me the weight of lumber in my Material take-off...something simple.

Unfortunately, things rarely are simple. You would need to know th volume and specific gravity of the lumber to calculate it's weight. The specific gravity will be different depending on what species of lumber your using. Then there's moisture content to worry about to. If you're looking for a ball park a quick google search of say.... lumber weight calculator... might have turned up these to sites for starters.
