A colleague mentioned to me that there is a cad utility/additional software that can be used to show whether a certain type of vehicle would fit through gates/roads etc and also the amount of space required for it to turn.
Does anyone know if this is true? If so what is it called and where do I find it?
Thanks in advance

Maybe he was talking about AutoTurn (http://www.transoftsolutions.com/ProductTmpl.aspx?product=AT)?

definently sounds like autoturn, I used it at my old office, very nifty application. Used it to show that a semi truck could make it around a round-about I designed. It is much better than just turning templates as you can create animations of the vehicle movements. but if you dont have the ability to purchase the software, you could also get the turning templates from somewhere, I dont know if they cost anything, but they are limited in their use.
