File Link Manager Issues

My company purchased a 3d max 2008 several months ago. We run into trouble when we use the file link manager to link ABS (Autodesk Building System) file to 3d max. The materials that are applied to objects do not appear in 3d max; and MEP objects such as pipes, conduits and ducts do not appear at all. The same issues occur even if we try to open the model.

u have to check the material directory of MEP and put the material path to particular directory in 3dsmax

Good point. Also, be sure that you are using UNC paths to the files, or at least that everyone is using the same drive letter for where the files are stored.
