i'm currently working on a project that involves existing bridges. To model them, I had planned to draw a 3d spline (the brige linking two diffrent level and is curved in plan view)
I would like to extrude along this line a profile that contains voids.
I havent' foud a solution yet. I tried to make it as a railing profile on a ramp but the profile doesn't support the nested voids...
isn't it possible to simply draw the spline in 3D space (by controlling the position and height of the controls) and then make a solid sweep along this spline?
thanks for the tip

I believe that you can achieve this with the new swept blend tool in Revit 2009, but haven't tried it yet myself.

You assign a different profile to each end, with the profile drawn at a different height and then draw a 2D path connecting the two together.

Another option would be building a curved ramp and use a railing with the profile you want to create the bridge. You can then hide the ramp in a temporary workset.
