View Full Version : Revit 2009 Text error on Export to AutoCAD 2004

When I exported a single view to AutoCAD 2004, the text (Arial) comes up as a solid block. But, the Dims. show just fine.
I then exported it in to AutoCAD 2007 and linked it into a Revit file (as I don't have AutoCAD 2007) and it looked fine.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
EDIT...
The old 2004 file looked fine on import into Revit, so it seems to be a problem between Revit 2007 and AutoCAD 2004.
Do I need an object enabler?

Try make a new type, say a room in your case, and make text transparent. I had same problem with grid bubble and text.
This is a REVIT 2009 bug!
All Opaque text, ANNOTATIONS, and dimensions (dim’s can be salvaged..see below) export with a big black box around them. This is similar to exporting a solid filled region, except you cannot remove it without deleting the text itself.
Modifying all of my text types and all my Annotations (RCP, Room, Fire Safety ,etc.) so I can’t read them on a hatched area in REVIT 2009, to be able to read them in AutoCAD is ridiculous.
Since this problem didn’t occur with Revit 2008, countless projects have been exported and issued without us knowing about it. This is ridiculous and makes us and Revit look very bad.
I have always thrown the ACAD export into the faces of the ADT holdouts, but now Autodesk has finally screwed up this program too.
I have verified that the problem doesn’t occur in Revit 2008.
Exporting Revit 2009 so that you can keep your dimensions.
- Export options
o Layers and properties: All properties BYLAYER, no overrides.
Any input would be helpful!
