invisible text

ok not really invisible but i need to put some text on the drawing that all users can see but that doesnt print. Basically i need to note that a stair and dock are in a particular location which i did by drawing them using lines. They will be modeled later after we receive the topo info and we know the difference in grade. the text serves as an in house note but i dont want it to print that the clients can see it. Can i do this?

Just right click an hide element or category in View.

but then no one can see it...

There are two ways to do this. One is to make a working view and a print view. The print view goes on the sheet, and the working view gets all the construction lines, in-house notes, etc. the other is to use a dwf markup. Neither are perfect, but they can do what you need.
