I am not sure why Revit let us Change the same element and now I cannot save to central. This is just at the start of a project so its not a big deal, but if this happens again at another point half way through the project, I will be screwed! See attached pictures of the errors that showed up when I tried to save to central.
Any help would be appreciated.

It is hard to tell without journals, local and central files, on the reason of the incompatibility. Please consider filing those files as case with Support if connections to central file were always on.
A common way for this to happen is when someone works on a local file at home (or otherwise) without a connection to the network where the central file is located (editing "at-risk"). In that case the user is warned before they make any changes that what they are about to do is risky, since Revit cannot check the central file to make sure that the edits won't conflict.

Thanks! That was the problem. Weird, that never happened before.

It happened to me here becasue i have the same uername on my laptio and my desktop.
I made a point to have our IT staff use "arm" on one machine and "arm2" on another, for that reason...

Yes, we have been having the same problem with Saving to Central, and apparently for the same reason.

Its weird, here we have different user names to log on to our computers but I was on that computer several days ago and it remembered my username in revit and didnt use the current users username. If that makes sense. lol

Go into Settings....Options...General tab...Username
If there's anything in that field, it uses the field value.
If the Username field is blank, Revit will use your Windows login as a username
