I have made a family of a cabinet that I would like to Array and setup a parameter to add or take out shelves. However, I have four widths (30", 36", 42", 48") and three heights (73 1/2", 84", 96") in which I would like to be able to change in the type selector allowing for the other arrayed cabinets to change to that size as well.

I've started the cabinet as one family and loaded it into another family for the array, but when I change one all I get is the change in the selected cabinet.

Any way to do this, and if so, how?

Also is there a way to have a family move to the end of the array so that no matter how many cabinets I have my one family will be at the end of the last cabinet?

I've figured out my first question, I had loaded it in at a different size and then locked it to Ref Planes, and arrayed it. I needed to set the Family Type sizes right away.

I didn't follow your last question very well.... but there is a "last" radio button when making an array that will allow you to define the location of the last object in the array and space the others evenly in between the first and last.

Yeah I managed to figure out my problem, I think I just had one thing locked that made the added cabinet overlap my ramp causing my ramp to not move every time a cabinet was added.

Thanks for the help though!

I actually just ran across another problem that I'm having. When I go to make different family types that have different heights, my nested in array steps down each new arrayed cabinet whenever I change the cabinet height.

Is there something I have to lock or dimension in the original family, or do I have to do something in the family it's nested in to get it to not array into what looks like steps?
