When you open ACAD, does it come up with the drawing recovery manager? Have you tried to Recover that DWG instead of just opening it? From the filename it seems that it was a autorecovered file after a crash. These usually open directly in recover mode.

Otherwise you could just open a new blank DWG and insert that file as a block to 0,0,0. Then explode it & SaveAs overwriting the old. Just do an AUDIT afterwards, because there's probably a few errors in the DWG file.

That messege looks just like the one which appears when the bug/quirk that occurs sometimes when 3dorbit is used which means that a drawing can not be saved in any of the normal methods. Although I have never heard of this scenario locking up the computer so that you have to ctrl alt del out of it.

Just incase this is what is happening here, the only way to save a file when this bug happens is to type the word SAVE in the command line, the save icon, ctrl+s, file>save as etc will not work.

I have seen reference to this problem on AUGI and the Adesk NG's dating back to 2005 but Autodesk had done nothing to fix it. I contacted Adesk support and they wouldn't help me because I could not tell them the steps to recreate the problem.

If SAVE does not work try using .SAVE (leading period).

You can also just close the drawing and it will ask you if you want to save. Well, it SHOULD ask you. It did to me when I used to get that problem.
